National Character Counts Week!

A message from Tonya M. Taylor, Ph.D., Associate Specialist - 4-H, Virginia Tech…

National Character Counts Week!
Communities across the nation will join efforts to celebrate National Character Counts week, October 17-23, 2010. Celebrate this week by renewing your commitment to instill values in young people by encouraging them to uphold and exemplify the six pillars of character. The Character Counts! organization is celebrating by providing you with free lesson plans, Red Ribbon week tie-in activities, and much more. To gain access to these free resources, please register with Character Counts by visiting the following web site (http://charactercounts.org/programs/ccweek/index.php). To help you spread the word, I’ve attached a flyer to help you promote the celebration in your schools or community. If you would like a set of flyers, please let the 4-H office know.
