Invitation to FDA approved Prince Edward County Cannery Open House, Oct 19, 3-7pm, Farmville, VA


This Open House Event is Free and Open to Anyone Interested in Canning

Please consider attending the October 19th Open House at the Prince Edward County Cannery!  Visit anytime from 3 pm - 7 pm to learn more about how the cannery can make your home canning processes more efficient, or facilitate your commercial food business!  The Cannery is FDA certified as a Food Canning Establishment and is VDACS inspected as a commercial kitchen.  Come extend your fresh produce sales season by processing a value-added product at the Prince Edward Cannery!  There will be canning demonstrations at 4pm (tomato soup) and 5:30 pm (applesauce) during the Open House event on Oct 19th.

Come learn how you “Can” preserve and profit at PECC!  Experts in food preservation, food safety regulations, agricultural conservation programs, and agricultural marketing will be on-site.  Educational exhibits, canning demonstrations, and refreshments will be on-going throughout the open house event!  The first 100 visitors will receive a FREE gift!

The PECC is open to all Commonwealth of Virginia citizens independent of county of residence.  However it is the primary goal of PECC to help build and promote local food business development initiatives in Appomattox, Buckingham, Cumberland, Amelia, Nottoway, Lunenburg, Charlotte, Prince Edward counties. Services are fee based dependent upon the specific county of residence.
