Virginia Waterfowling Workshop, Sept. 30-Oct.2, 2011

Holiday Lake 4-H Educational Center has partnered with the Virginia Waterfowlers Association and the Outdoor Education Division of the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries to offer  the first of its kind Virginia Waterfowlers Weekend.  This weekend held at the 4-H Center is open to any person 12 -90+ and focuses on improving skills related to the safe hunting of waterfowl. The workshops include:  


Blind Design and Construction, Decoy Placement, Decoy Restoration,  Duck Calling, Goose Calling,   Waterfowl Boating Operation,  Waterfowl Game Care & Cooking,   Wing Shooting Techniques (Beginner & Intermediate),   Waterfowl ID & Game Laws,  Decoy Carving (Foam), Predator Management,  Retriever Training Clinic,  Waterfowl Habitat Management, and  Waterfowl Nesting Structures
