Welcome to 2010 new Stars

The Northern District 4-H All Star Chapter is hosting a picnic at Graves Mountain Lodge on Sunday afternoon, August 15th for Northern District All Stars. Our 2010 All Stars will receive recognition for achieving this goal through their participation in 4-H.

Parents and other family members are invited and welcome. Go to www.gravesmountain.com/ for directions and more information on the Lodge, which is owned and operated by 4-H All Stars, Jim and Rachel Graves. Graves Mt. Lodge is in Madison County at Syria.

Registration - 3:30 – 4:15 - At Graves Mountain Lodge picnic shelter. Pass the main entrance and take the next road on the left directly into the shelter area. If you want to come early you have the option of visiting the farm animals across the road, go swimming (a $3 fee) or horseback riding (fee) Call ahead for info: 540-923-4231.

Silent Auction opens – 4:00 We are having a “Silent Auction” in order to build our treasury as well as add interest and fun to the gathering. We need YOU to participate. Ideas include: A basket (Box, etc.) of fresh garden produce, plants, loaves of various breads, cakes, as well as “things”. Be creative, and join the fun! Bring some $$’s for bidding.

The cost of the picnic meal (hamburgers, hot dogs and all the fixings provided by Graves Mountain Lodge) is $12 per person.

The cost of the meal for 2010 4-H All Stars and a specially designed t-shirt will be paid by the District All Star Chapter and fellow All Stars. Contributions to help with this will be appreciated. Please respond by August 9th in order for us to have a meal count
