You can now write your own club news articles (and photos) and have them published on InsideNova.com. You can submit news and photos about your club happenings on-line by going to http://users.insidenova.com/from_you_form/ . You do have to register and you will receive an e-mail activating your account.
If you should go to the home page, http://www2.insidenova.com/isn/news/, you can click on community and find your area community news to read and reporter contacts so you might ask them to submit news to the local printed paper.
Pass this word along to your reporters too! Make sure an adult gives them lots of help with the writing and editing before submitting if they are a younger reporter. At any age, we probably should have someone “proof” us!
I ask all clubs to be particularly conscious about “making the news” whenever possible. During these tough budget times, we want to make our impact on community youth known to all. Talk to your elected officials about the good work you are doing in the community before budget crunch time. Please keep Cooperative Extension on everyone’s mind. Remember all the programming done in our Prince William Cooperative Extension Unit. If you need to refresh yourself about the entire scope of PWC Cooperative Extension programming, go to www.pwcgov.org/vce
Thanks so much for all your amazing work with Prince William County youth!Linda King, Extension Agent, 4-H, lking@pwcgov.org
